The Reds skipper spoke to iFollow Barnsley following our 3-3 draw with Horsham in the Emirates FA Cup at Oakwell on Friday night.
In the first round proper of the historic competition, the Reds were held to a draw by the Hornets, despite taking the lead twice in the affair.
Williams professed that the Reds were not at the required level on Friday evening to get the job done, giving credit to the West-Sussex side.
"Tonight probably wasn't good enough, throughout the park," admitted the 24-year-old. "We've had a number of chances and not scored, but then I think on the flip side we've not defended well enough. They've come, made it hard for us and credit to them, they've done well. They deserve the replay."
