John McAtee spoke to iFollow Barnsley after the Reds drew 2-2 with Lincoln City on Saturday afternoon at the LNER Stadium.
Starting up top in our first league clash in two weeks, the 24-year-old helped turn the game around by assisting for Barry Cotter's equaliser before putting the Reds ahead.
A disappointed McAtee believed the performance warranted all three points but stressed the importance of building on Saturday's showing when back at Oakwell on Tuesday evening against Wycombe Wanderers.
"We were the far better team today, I thought we played very well. It's one of them where you're just down after the game. We should have come here and took the three points but we didn't, need to learn from it and bounce back on Tuesday.
"We sustained attacks very well. With 'Cozy' (Sam Cosgrove) coming on we went a bit more direct which obviously got us the equaliser and the second, so that was obviously a positive. It takes the breath away. You come here, work really hard, get back in the game, go in front. It's just mistakes that we need to cut out."
