Neill Collins spoke to iFollow Barnsley after our 3-0 victory over Horsham in the Emirates FA Cup.
The Reds secured passage into the second round of the FA Cup with a comfortable win over the Hornets at the Camping World Community Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Against the backdrop of two disappointing results for the Reds, Collins was extremely pleased with his side's attitude and application to produce a professional performance in West Sussex.
"The biggest thing for me was the response," opened our Head Coach, speaking pitchside in Horsham. "Not just from the last round, but from the last two games, against Derby, when we reflect, it just can't be us. The game was there for us on Saturday and we were in it, but we just didn't show anywhere near enough intensity and desire.
"But I thought right from the kick-off, the bare minimum we expect for a Barnsley team showed, and we added some quality and great goals. Of course, we'd have loved to have gone on and made it even easier with more goals but the players handled it very professionally and there were lots of positives from the night."
