Our Head Coach previewed Saturday's away encounter with Bolton Wanderers, kicking off at 3pm.
ON FITNESS ISSUES
“He (Mads Andersen) has a chance. But he’s not yet trained with the group. He’s a big player for us, so we’ll give him every chance. But if he’s not fit, he won’t be playing.
“Devante Cole got a kick during the game, so we’re assessing him right now. But it’s not a muscle injury, so hopefully he will be okay for the weekend.
“I think - other than those - we are looking okay for Saturday.”
THE CHALLENGE AHEAD
“I’ve been looking forward to this for three weeks.
“No matter how you dress it up to the players or whoever over the last few games, we all knew it was Play-Offs. It’s what we’ve been planning for, and now it’s about two cup finals.
“We’ve done a presentation, had a meeting. We know what we have to do. It’s an opportunity now. We think we are good team and we’re playing a good team. Hopefully, the best one will win and it won’t be affected by referees or any kind of bad luck.”
BOLTON WANDERERS
“I think it’ll be two tight games. I don’t think either of us can take anything from the previous three encounters.
“It’s going to be a sellout for both games. The atmosphere will be great at both grounds. This is what we want don’t we? It’s what we are all in this game for. These are the games we want to play. Let’s go and attack this opportunity.”
HUGE OPPORTUNITY
“There can be no back-slapping at this point. Yes, we are in a better place than many would have predicted a year ago.
“But we’ve not achieved anything yet. Let’s attack these two huge games. Then we will review everything and take it from there.
“It’s a season condensed into two, hopefully three games. The players aren’t daft. They won’t play in the Play-Offs every season. They know what is up for grabs here. It’s an opportunity to do something special - we can’t wait to get started.”
