Barry Cotter gave his thoughts to iFollow Barnsley after our 2-0 defeat against Peterborough United in Sky Bet League One.
The Irishman made his full debut for the Reds against the Posh after making a string of substitute appearances since arriving at Oakwell in January.
Cotter summed up a mixed afternoon on the final act of the 22/23 regulation season, but stressed the importance of keeping perspective on the campaign as a whole.
"There were some positives, some negatives," said the 24-year-old. "We weren't ourselves today, running through teams, being in their faces. I don't think we can hide the fact that we weren't ourselves today. It's a disappointing way to finish the season, but in reality, we've finished the season fourth. How can we be disappointed?"
