Our midfield man has today been called up to the Jamaica squad.
The 22-year-old, who joined the Reds in the January transfer window, signing from Huddersfield Town for an undisclosed fee will initially travel to Monetego Bay, Jamaica for a short training camp, before them travelling to North America to face Mexico on March 24 as part of the CONACAF Nations League.
This is Russell's second call-up to the Jamaican national squad, but he will be hoping this time to feature and thus make his international debut.
