ADAM PHILLIPS LOOKS AHEAD TO PLYMOUTH CHALLENGE

9 March 2023

Adam Phillips previewed Saturday's game against Plymouth Argyle for the media.

ON PLYMOUTH ARGYLE

"We know what they're all about. We know it's going to be a tough game. They're in a good position - they've got good players, a good squad. We're going to have to be at it and carry on our performances from recent weeks into Saturday."

ON RECENT PERFORMANCES

"I think we've been quite consistent. We've had lots of high energy in around the team, even people coming off the bench. We've had good results to match the performances. Saturday, we didn't get the goal that we wanted but we kept a clean sheet. We came into Tuesday positive, executed our game plan and got the result."

ON SQUAD MORALE

"We do a lot of work on the training pitch. Everyone's buying into it. You see the lads that come off the bench as well, everyone knows what they've got to do. The lads in the starting eleven have got to be at it because there's competition for places. When you're getting results and performances you know something is working."

ON HIS PERSONAL GOAL TALLY

"I'm enjoying my football right now. It's been a good season for me. I still want to add to that tally and hopefully, I can keep performing and the goals will come.

"I always fancy myself when the ball drops to me. I just try and get myself in good positions and use my technique and quality and try my best to hit the target. Sometimes, they fly in - which is a bonus!"
