James Norwood spoke to the assembled press to preview Tuesday evening's Sky Bet League One clash with Portsmouth, kicking off at 7:45pm.
ON POINT AT BRISTOL ROVERS
"For what we're trying to achieve and how we've been playing it's certainly a disappointing result. They set out their stall, we missed some good chances, but ultimately, to stay unbeaten and keep a clean sheet is the most important thing. It's important not to be losing games around this time."
ON PORTSMOUTH
"They've always been a decent side at this level. For us, we played against them recently. It's going to be about taking chances. We've been really good at it in the last few months, we got ourselves ahead in games. It's something we look to do, we like to press high up the pitch, win the ball back and create chances. We're coming into this one off the back of a clean sheet as well so that fills us with confidence going forward."
ON THE ATMOSPHERE AGAINST DERBY
"That's the best I've seen it 100% this season. It begs the question why it doesn't happen every week! They make such a difference, the way they came in their numbers. If they can turn up like that every week until the end of the season, they can put us in a really good position to be able to put teams on the back foot almost immediately after coming out of the tunnel.
"They'll play a massive part leading up until the end of the season. We're going to need every single one of them."
ON UPCOMING GAMES
"You want to test yourself against the best teams in the league. Ultimately, if we can take part off these we can solidify our team in the top six. We won't look past that really, Tuesday. Try and win Tuesday. When your playing teams in around you, it's important not to get beaten. That's gonna be the most important, first and foremost. If we can win those games, we can apply a little bit of pressure."
