The Club has made significant efforts today to ensure tomorrow’s game can go ahead.
A snow plough has helped clear the South Stand car park and surrounding areas of the stadium, along with a group of volunteers and BFC staff members.
Furthermore, the pavements around the perimeter and inside the stadium have been gritted to help clear the existing snow and prevent freezing.
Temperatures are set to be extremely cold overnight, posing the potential issue of ice on the playing surface and around the stadium.
A gritting operation will begin this evening, continue at sunrise and during the match tomorrow to prevent surfaces becoming slippy for pedestrians and vehicles.
With regards to the playing surface, the pitch has today been cleared and has been exposed to UV from lighting rigs. Moreover, the undersoil heating has been on for large periods of the day and will continue to be so until kick-off.
A pitch inspection will take place at 10am tomorrow morning, at the referee’s request. We will update supporters immediately following that.
