When the Reds entertain Portsmouth at Oakwell on Tuesday 7 March, we'll have LIVE music pre-match, with Barnsley's own Civic Green joining us!
Formed in 2015, the indie rock band will be performing tracks from their debut EP 'Sailing The River' ahead of our clash with Pompey.
With influences ranging from Oasis to Bruce Springsteen, Civic Green are helping to put Barnsley on the map and we are delighted to be bringing live music back to Oakwell, but prouder still that it's going to be one of our town's best bands!
Danny Hall, lead vocalist/guitarist spoke of his pride in having the opportunity to play at Oakwell, as a supporter of the club.
"It's such an incredible honour to play at Oakwell, having personally followed the reds home and away for many a year. We're all local lads and the band formed in Barnsley, we can't wait to show you what we're about!"
Whilst we've enjoyed our designated 'scarf day', we were truly taken aback by the scenes on show at the weekend and we would encourage more of the same - let's keep making our home a sea of red and white!
There's always something a little extra special about nights under the lights at Oakwell, and with Civic Green playing live, lots of colour on show in the stands, we can once again help to provide the perfect atmosphere for Michael Duff and his men to thrive in.
We have our cheapest prices on offer for this one, just as we did against Derby County last time out - it's £20 for an adult ticket in the Ponty End, and kids can get in for just five English pounds regardless of stand!
Reds fans are also reminded that Flexi-Tickets will expire at the end of this season - what better time to use them?!
Weather permitting, we'll have our usual pre-match fun in the Reds FanZone, where fans can get together ahead of kick off and enjoy music, interviews with BFC personnel and a host of food and drink available.
