Nicky Cadden spoke to iFollow Barnsley after scoring in our 3-1 victory over Portsmouth at Oakwell on Tuesday evening.
The Scotsman doubled our lead in spectacular fashion in the 20th minute following James Norwood's calm finish to get the Reds off the mark in the 17th minute.
Pompey got one back in the second half through a Colby Bishop header, but Devante Cole put pay to any sniff of a Portsmouth comeback with a goal on the hour mark.
Cadden praised the Reds' performance and how well the game plan was stuck to against an in-form Pompey outfit.
"The performance was really good. Portsmouth are a good team. We've done what we set out to do really well. They got the goal after half-time but we never panicked. We got the third one and I think it was game over from then. A great result and onto Saturday now."
"We wanted to be better than we were on Saturday. We knew that we weren't at our best on Saturday, but we still got a point which is a positive thing. We knew that a point was only good if we got all three tonight. We're delighted with the three points."
