Barnsley Football Club launched Season Tickets for the 23/24 campaign this month - secure your seat here at Oakwell today!

“The DNA of Barnsley Football Club is in my blood. I’ve been a fan of the club since I was five- years-old. I was here every other weekend. And as I got older, if I didn’t have the money, you could climb over the wall to get in in those days! My memories of Barnsley FC stretch back 40, 50 years. And that’s what it’s like to support this club, to be from this town - it’s enduring. Those dreams, achievements, all your aspirations.”

The words of our very own David 'Dai' Bradley. The star of Kes - named one of the nation's greatest films by the British Film Institute - which centred on the exploits of Barnsley schoolboy Billy Casper (Bradley) as his relationship with a wild kestrel helped him to escape spiritually from his real-life issues.

Going on to the National Theatre Company and working alongside the likes of Sir Anthony Hopkins and Sir Derek Jacobi, he would embark on a worldwide tour of Equus, picking up a raft of awards and nominations for his performances.

A Reds supporter, Bradley took time out from his busy schedule to come down to Oakwell recently and speak of his love for the Reds and indeed, our town.
