The EFL and PUMA are pleased to present the new Official Match Ball for the upcoming 23/24 Sky Bet EFL season.
Last year an impressive 4,083 goals were scored across the three divisions and with the 23/24 fixtures announced today, excitement is already building for what is expected to be another enthralling campaign, delivering more memorable moments for clubs, players and fans.
Building on two successful seasons as the Official Match Ball Supplier, the new PUMA Orbita design includes an 8-panel ball configuration, a reduction from last season's 12-panel design. These larger panels provide a better connection with the ball, enhancing players' touch and control.
Continuing the tradition, the ball will be primarily white, with the colours of the EFL logo. A special high-visibility fluorescent yellow variant has been crafted for low-visibility conditions and is set to be introduced in November. Specially designed balls will be used in competition colours for the Carabao Cup and EFL Trophy.
The new EFL season gets underway on Friday 4 August 2023 with fixtures announced today.
