ACTION-PACKED FAN ZONE FOR OPEN DAY 2023

There is plenty to enjoy at our 2023 Open Day on Saturday 29 July at Oakwell!

Our annual Open Day takes place this weekend at the home of the Reds, finishing with Neill Collins' first game in charge in South Yorkshire as we welcome Crewe Alexandra in a 3pm kick-off.

However, there is plenty going off before the game, starting from 11am! 

We will have food vendors in attendance to suit all appetites, including Ski Pig StreetfoodFries Guys7 Star Flag and St Marcino Pizzeria!

Our Fan Zone will get underway from 12pm - so why not enjoy a bite to eat whilst enjoying what is on offer outside of the East Stand?

We will have music provided by Jake Cope and David Bailey as well as Reds chatter ahead of kick-off for the first time this campaign at Oakwell! With sunshine forecasted, enjoy a drink at Oakwell as we build up to our final pre-season game this season.

Out of his usual band, “Guest Singer” Jake Cope will be playing a host of acoustic covers, before David Bailey, lead singer of the Doncaster band Groom Lake Fugitives will be perform a number of acoustic, indie/rock covers.

Our Women's Team will also be stopping by the FanZone to chat about how their pre-season preparations are going ahead of the first campaign with Barnsley FC!

Toby Tyke will be making his way to the Fan Zone to soak up the atmosphere and meet our young Reds ahead of kick-off!

Members of our Academy will be talking to our iFollow Barnsley co-commentator, Callum Cooper pre-match to give the lowdown on how our young Reds' preparations are going this summer.

Barnsley FC Fan Content Creators Neil Ellis (Tykes TV) and Ryan Garner (Barnsley on Tour) will be chatting all things Reds on the stage with Dave Cooper shortly before the team news at 2pm.

Players from our Men's First Team will be meeting supporters and talking about their summer so far and their thoughts on the cusp of the 23/24 campaign.

With a jam-packed Fan Zone on Saturday, be sure to join us prior to kick-off before we welcome Neill Collins and his side back to Oakwell!
