The young defender gave his reaction to our pre-season victory over Worksop Town on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds began their pre-season calendar with a win over recently-promoted Worksop Town at Sandy Lane thanks to goals from Adam Phillips and Oli Shaw.
Both halves saw much-changed sides fielded from both sides as the players were eased back into proceedings following the off-season break. One of those introduced for the Reds in what was a much younger outfit in the second period was centre-back, Doyle.
He spoke of the challenge of coming up against much older opposition and such lessons that the game will have provided for himself and his fellow young colleagues.
"It was a really good performance from the boys," praised the 18-year-old. "Grinding the result out and getting used to playing against men. We'll have to get more used to it in our careers but it was a good experience overall; playing against some good, experienced players."
