Tom Edwards has returned to parent club Stoke City with immediate effect.
The defender returns to the Bet365 Stadium after joining the Reds on loan in the summer.
The 23-year-old arrived at Oakwell on deadline day back in September, making 15 appearances for the Reds in all competitions.
A particular highlight during his time with the Reds was the defender's long-range strike that got Michael Duff's side back in the game in our Papa John's Trophy Round of 32 tie away at Port Vale.
Edwards sustained a knee injury in our Emirates FA Cup third round defeat against Derby County at Pride Park last Sunday and will undertake his rehab with his parent club.
