Barnsley Football Club can confirm the loan signing of Harry Isted until the end of the season.
The 6’ 1” goalkeeper joins the Reds from Sky Bet Championship outfit Luton Town, initially coming through the ranks with Southampton.
A spell with Stoke City followed, before the shot-stopper moved to Kenilworth Road, enjoying loan spells with Oxford City and Wealdstone in recent years whilst with Nathan Jones’ side.
Working with Thomas Fawdry, Isted joins the goalkeeping contingent at Oakwell ahead of an exciting conclusion in store to the current League One campaign.
Upon signing, the 25-year-old told iFollow Barnsley of his eagerness to get going at Oakwell: “It’s good to be here,” he began. “I heard a few days ago what was going to happen and I’m just excited to be up here now.
“I’ve been up here since last night. I did my medical and then trained with the lads. It’s a lovely setup here.”
Welcome to Oakwell, Harry Isted!
Our new signing is available to sponsor for the rest of the 22/23 campaign. Please contact the team here at Oakwell either via email email@example.com or by calling us on 01226 211211.
