Our Head Coach is in the running for consecutive awards after another unbeaten month in Sky Bet League One.
The Reds recorded three wins out of four in December, whilst drawing on Boxing Day away to Accrington Stanley - seeing Michael Duff's men rise to fourth in Sky Bet League One game at the close of 2022.
Defensive solidity was at the heart of the Reds' December also, conceding just three goals during the month.
The nominees:
Gareth Ainsworth (Wycombe Wanderers)
If anyone feared that the Ainsworth magic at Wycombe was on the wane after an indifferent autumn, they have been swiftly corrected by a steady climb towards the play-off places. Ten points from five games continued their rise.
Michael Duff (Barnsley)
Wins over Peterborough, Burton and Fleetwood helped Duff build on the momentum his side established in November with another unbeaten month in which they garnered 10 points from four games to go fourth in the League One table.
Dino Maamria (Burton Albion)
Eight points from five games might not seem overly impressive, but set that against the backdrop of a relegation fight; Maamria has made Burton harder to beat since he took over. They lost just once in five December games.
Steven Schumacher (Plymouth Argyle)
The mark of a manager can be how you react to setbacks. Schumacher didn’t panic when Plymouth failed to score in their first two December games. What followed was three wins for a 10-point total, regaining their promotion momentum.
The winner of December's accolade will be announced at 6am on Friday 13 January.
