ON HIS RETURN FROM INJURY LAST WEEKEND
"It was the best feeling in the world. My family were there to watch it, it was an early birthday present! My birthday was Sunday, the day after so a great win and an early birthday present as I said!"
ON THE REHAB PROCESS
"It was really difficult at the start. The first couple of weeks was just getting my head around it. I got my head around it fairly quickly and obviously I had Conor (McCarthy) there to help me as well who was going through his long-term injury. All the staff, the players as well, they always kept me involved, I wasn't left out or anything which was really good. There's no better feeling than when you know you're in the matchday squad."
ON THE SQUAD TOGETHERNESS
"I've been out for four months so I've not been on an away trip for a long time. On Friday evening (night before Cheltenham match) someone came up with a game. I was surprised how many stayed behind (and played), it was virtually the whole group. We sat together for an hour and a half and played that which was really good team bonding!"
ON INCREASED SQUAD DEPTH
"There's nothing better than healthy competition in the team. It can only be good for the players that are keeping their shirt. The lads who have not got a shirt at the moment, they'll be making sure they're ready for when they do get one."
ON DERBY COUNTY
"I had a few good years at Derby. I made my professional debut there. We know what a really good team they are and what type of challenge it's going to be. It's going to be a really tough game."
"It should be some atmosphere. It's nearly a sell-out, make some noise!"
