The central defender provided his thoughts to the assembled press ahead of our Sky Bet League One clash with Cambridge United at Oakwell on Saturday.
ON TEAM MENTALITY
"I think that shows what the gaffer has brought into the team - it's starting to come out now. Every game in this league is tough but we've got some tough games coming up. It's good to go into these games in high spirits from the results last week."
ON DEFENSIVE UNIT
"I think we've been unfortunate in the last few weeks to not keep a clean sheet. I think we've deserved one, definitely. I'm sure if we keep working hard on the training pitch and working hard in games the clean sheets will come back."
ON MICHAEL DUFF
"He's always wanting to better us. The lads are always buying into it on the training pitch. He grabs us once or twice a week to reinforce in staying in what he believes in. It's clearly working on the training pitch and on a matchday. Good habits day in, day out and it's clearly working.
"On and off the pitch he's helped me a lot. As soon as he come in, I've played against him a few times, I was excited to play for him."
ON THE SEASON SO FAR
"He (Duff) has brought the whole team together. That's what you need to be successful as a team. Like he always says, you need to be a team and together. You need to want to work for each other. I think it's very important."
ON THE EQUALISER AT PORTSMOUTH
"I felt I got the flick after he (Bobby Thomas) flicked it. I've seen him run-off, but I thought 'it's just the equaliser' so I went and celebrated with him. In the changing room after there was a bit of banter."
