Our final January addition, Jon Russell sat down to speak to iFollow Barnsley after sealing his move to the Reds from Huddersfield Town.
Joining until 2026. the central midfielder joins Michael Duff's squad from the Terriers and is looking forward to the challenge ahead at Oakwell.
It is one he is relishing, already having a taste at what's in store for the remainder of this campaign, and enjoys the competitive nature of the division.
"League One is a very busy and tough league," he summised. "I've been in this league when I was with 'Accy' (Accrington Stanley), so I know what it's like.
"A lot of the games are very scrappy, and are very out of possession-based," described our latest recruit. "That's part of my game I want to improve and need to improve on. This league will definitely do that for me and help my progression a lot.
"I enjoy it as well. I love the competition and so I'm just trying to get the most out of this league, grow myself as a player and take this team forward."
