Our Head Coach provided his analysis for iFollow Barnsley after our 1-1 draw with Portsmouth in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday.
The Reds rescued a point in the 89th minute via a long throw from debutant Barry Cotter, which was flicked on by Bobby Thomas who claimed a second goal in as many games. This was after Pompey had taken the lead just after the break through Colby Bishop.
Head Coach, Michael Duff felt it was the least his side deserved, when speaking to us directly after the 1-1 draw.
"On the run of the game I felt we deserved a draw at least." He explained.
"We've hit the bar in the first half, had the one-on-one and Coley's (Devante Cole) had another good chance, and I felt we pressed them well, in the first half especially, it was a good performance but we didn't score.
"Fair play to Portsmouth, they're a good side and they changed things second half, they score a good goal and it became a bitty performance from us.
"We changed one or two things up, I think we wrestled back control, we score a good goal that's bizarrely disallowed but we kept on going right til the end and showed a real fighting spirit. I think you saw at the end there, what it means, with the players, staff and fans."
