Phillips gave his thoughts on our 1-1 draw with Charlton Athletic at Oakwell for iFollow Barnsley.
The 25-year-old scored his first of the campaign against the Addicks in the 24th minute after excellent work by Herbie Kane kept the ball alive, squaring for Phillips who made no mistake with his left peg, sweeping into the top corner.
After recording a sensational season in front of goal last campaign, the former Liverpool man now wants to use the goal as momentum to kick on under Neill Collins.
"Bit of a relief! To get on the scoresheet, I've had a lot of games to do it. After last year, with my numbers, the fans sort of expect me to get them numbers again and I think I will do. I've just got to keep going and hopefully go on a run like I did last year. That goal will definitely help me."
