NEILL COLLINS PREVIEWS PETERBOROUGH TRIP

28 December 2023

Our Head Coach previewed Friday night's trip to Peterborough United in Sky Bet League One.

INJURY NEWS

"Jamie McCart has responded really well. I think had we needed him to continue (at Port Vale) we could have probably got away with it, but he's so important and he was struggling with it a little in the first half so we took him off. It will be a late decision for tomorrow's game. It isn't anything too serious. If he was to miss tomorrow night, we expect him to be back for Monday or the next league game."

ON PETERBOROUGH UNITED

"I think I said it when we played them in the third game of the season [that Posh would be near the top of the table]. They're a very good side. They've been one of the most impressive teams by a long way. The way they play, the chances they create, it's going to be a tough game for us but a good one coming at a good time."

ON RETURN FIXTURE

"It's easy to look at the result in isolation. But if you actually go back and look at the starting eleven and the bench, that even as a starting point shows where we've come because there's a lot of names on there that aren't featuring right now. The goals we lost were really poor, a couple of individual errors in there. We're a different team. I think they've improved a lot since then. We've improved drastically since then. It will be a good game."
