We were delighted to head up to Barnsley Hospital this week with our players and staff spreading some festive cheer!
Whilst Christmas is a time for families and spending time at home together to celebrate, that's not always possible. Certainly not for the youngsters currently in Barnsley Hospital.
This week, members of Barnsley FC staff were joined by players from both the Men's and Women's teams in taking some early Christmas presents up to deliver to the kids.
They visited the children's ward, the special care baby unit, and the children's emergency department, and were treated to smiles as they delivered a range of festive gifts.
Interim CEO at Barnsley FC, Jon Flatman made sure to thank the amazing NHS staff who make all this possible.
“It was a pleasure to see players and staff head up to the hospital at what can be a terribly difficult time for families, not being home for Christmas. I hope that the visit provided joy to the children and their parents/carers in addition to the most amazing NHS staff."
