Our midfielder spoke to the press ahead of Saturday's trip to Bristol Rovers in Sky Bet League One.
ON OPENING WEEKEND
"It was a big and really good result. It's a very good confidence boost for us, we know what we're capable of doing. If we stick to what we've done for that game and hopefully the results will come.
"We were very clinical, we took all of our chances very well. I think everyone was eager to impress and make their statement. As everyone was doing that, the result and the goals came in. That's what helped us massively."
ON SCORING HIS FIRST GOAL FOR THE CLUB
"It was exciting! Really, really pleased. Happy and proud with getting my first goal. In the way it came as well, coming from the box, header. I'm happy with it.
"That's what I'm trying to add to my game. Being more of a threat from set-pieces than I have been. I think I can do that."
ON TRANMERE DEFEAT
"Not the result we wanted, but we took a lot from it. The gaffer gave the young lads an opportunity and that's all you want as a young lad, to give you the opportunity to play. The young lads did really well, I was impressed with a lot of them. In terms of result, not great, but the experience and what we gained from it was really good."
ON BRISTOL ROVERS
"It's going to be a difficult game. We've analysed them and I think we know what we need to do. They've done well even though they've not got the results from last year, but they always make it difficult to win at their place. Everyone's got confidence, we just need to do what we need to do."
