Barnsley Football Club is happy to announce the loan signing of Jamie McCart until the end of the season.
The Scot arrives at Oakwell from Sky Bet Championship outfit Rotherham United, operating as a left-sided centre-half.
Starting out with Scottish giants Celtic, the 26-year-old has made 200 senior career appearances, including an historic season with St Johnstone, where the Saints became the first side outside of the Old Firm to claim the domestic cup double (Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup) since Aberdeen in 1990.
Khaled El-Ahmad, CEO of Barnsley FC, said: "We would like to wish a warm welcome to Jamie.
"We are happy that we are able to bring him to Oakwell and provide competition in the squad."
Speaking exclusively to iFollow Barnsley, McCart added, "I’m delighted!
"As soon as my agent phoned me and told me Barnsley were interested, it was kind of a no-brainer for me."
