Barnsley Football Club can confirm that Josiah Dyer and Jean Claude Makiessi have joined Basford United on a one-month youth loan until 16 September.
Both youngsters played an integral part as our U18s won the Professional Development League last season and will now link up with the Northern Premier League outfit to gain valuable first team experience.
As well as featuring 34 times in Nicky Eaden’s title-winning team, Makiessi made eight appearances at U21s level in what was a stellar 22/23 campaign.
Dyer, meanwhile, bagged 16 goals in 25 outings during the historic season, and was also on target three times for our U21s.
The pair will be in contention to start on Tuesday evening when Basford host Stafford Rangers.
