You can vote for your August Goal of the Month!

There were some absolute crackers as the Reds began the new campaign brightly – scoring goals aplenty – and we have narrowed it down to six contenders for you to choose from.

Simply watch our video and vote for your favourite, in association with NG Decor.

GOAL A – DEVANTE COLE v PORT VALE
Our first goal of the new season was a little bit special, and it owed as much to the sublime cross from Corey O’Keeffe as it did Devante Cole’s lovely sweeping finish. The right wing-back intercepted a loose pass before threading an inch perfect through ball into the path of our forward, who applied a fine first time finish.

GOAL B – LIAM KITCHING v PORT VALE
With the Reds in full flow against a beleaguered Port Vale, Herbie Kane picked up possession near the centre circle and flighted a magnificent pass over the top with the outside of his boot that Liam Kitching controlled on his chest before smashing an unstoppable half-volley into the roof of the net.

GOAL C – ANDY DALLAS v PORT VALE
The final goal of our rout was the icing on the cake as debutant Andy Dallas added his name to the scoresheet with a flying header. Another attack down the right flank resulted in Barry Cotter firing a stunning cross into the six-yard box, which our Scottish forward met with aplomb to power home.

GOAL D – AIDEN MARSH v TRANMERE ROVERS
With time running out in our Carabao Cup first round tie, Barnsley launched one last attack. Kacper Łopata played a ball into the feet of Fabio Jalo, who flicked it around the corner for Charlie Winfield. His wicked cross found Aiden Marsh, who flung out a leg and prodded in from close range to force a penalty shootout.

GOAL E – NICKY CADDEN v BRISTOL ROVERS
After Barry Cotter won possession on the halfway line, the Reds surged forward in search of an opener at the Memorial Stadium. Max Watters played the ball to Nicky Cadden, who drove into the box before unleashing a thunderous drive into the near top corner that crashed into the net.

GOAL F – JOHN MCATEE v WIGAN ATHLETIC
In the dying embers of the game and Barnsley in the ascendency, Kacper Łopata played a ball into the channel for Aiden Marsh to run onto. He in turn found his fellow substitute, John McAtee, who immediately endeared himself to the Reds supporters by sweeping in off the post before performing an acrobatic celebration.
