Michael Duff provided his post-match thoughts at the LNER Stadium following a 0-0 draw with Lincoln City in Sky Bet League One.

In a tightly-contested affair in Lincolnshire, both teams threatened to break the deadlock - with the Reds having arguably the better of the chances.

Duff was keen to praise Tuesday's opposition and provided reasoning as to why things just didn't click for his side out there.

"We have come up against a team who have fought really hard to not get beat," he began. "Credit to them - they've played the top four now twice and they haven't lost a game. It shows they're a good team at what they do.

"They changed the way they play today. They went really direct and back to front. That's a credit to our players. We had enough of the ball and enough opportunities, we just lacked a little bit of quality today."

This point also secured a guaranteed top-six finish for the Reds in League One, an achievement that is a mark of how far the Club has come in recent months, according to the 44-year-old. However, he stressed that his side would not settle at this point.

"It's a sign of progress. Everyone at the football club would have taken that at the start of the season. Would we have settled for it now? No. We'll still be chasing. If we're in the play-offs, we want to go in with good momentum. We've been on pretty good form for a long, long time now.

"The noise will change, the narrative will change as it always does with reuslts and scrutiny. Our focus will be: where can we improve, we'll take the positives in terms of the application of the players - it was just a bit of quality that let us down at times."

We're back at Oakwell on Saturday as we welcome Oxford United in Sky Bet League One!
