NICKY CADDEN REVIEWS IPSWICH LOSS

26 April 2023

The Scotsman provided reaction to our 3-0 defeat to Ipswich Town on Tuesday evening at Oakwell.

Cadden returned to the side following a short break out due to suspension and felt that the Reds were hard done by with the scoreline, undone by the timing of the vistors' goals.

"It's never good to lose goals so close to half-time, especially two right off the bat," the 26-year-old discussed. "But, I thought we did really well. I know it's mad to say when we're going in 2-0 down at half-time. The boys are angry in there, because I felt like we played the better stuff. We just weren't clinical."

Tuesday's result also confirmed that Michael Duff's men will take part in the League One play-offs in May. Despite having aspirations for automatic promotion, the wing-back ensured that his focus turned to the challenge in hand.

"We're all disappointed in there," he admitted. "We felt like we had a chance to push for the top two - but listen, we'll just try and win the play-offs now. We've hopefully got five big games ahead and hopefully, we go up through the play-offs."
