The midfielder spoke to the press ahead of our Sky Bet League One fixture with Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Saturday.
ON BEING BACK PLAYING FOR THE REDS
"It was brilliant to be back. That was always my goal when the season finished, last season. I worked hard in the off-season to make sure I was in the best place I could be physically, mentally as well to come back and hopefully perform for Barnsley."
ON IMPACT OF MICHAEL DUFF
"It was really pleasing that it was a clean slate. He just said to everyone really it's a clean slate, a new pair of eyes. You're just trying to do everything you can to impress him and hopefully so far I have done that.
"As a player when the manager trusts you and gives you confidence, he's been massive for me. He's given me a chance and really likes me, so hopefully that will continue."
ON IPSWICH RESULT
"The squad Ipswich have got is a very good one. To go there and get a point, I don't think there'll be many teams that do that. It gives us massive confidence.
"There's no reason why we can't go to Sheffield and get all three points."
ON SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY
"They've brought some very good players in, they've got a very good team and made a very good start as well. We know that when we go there it's going to be a very tough game.
"It's definitely bragging rights for the fans and the players as well."
