Barnsley Football Club is pleased to announce Luca Connell has received an international call-up to represent the Republic of Ireland U21s for the upcoming round of international fixtures.
Impressing for the Reds at the start of the season, the 21-year-old has registered three assists and featured ten times so far for Michael Duff’s side this campaign.
Republic of Ireland U21s face Israel U21s over two legs in September for a place in the upcoming 2023 U21 European Championships in Georgia and Romania.
The first of the two legs will be played on Friday 24th September at Tallaght Stadium, the home of Shamrock Rovers, kicking off at 19:00.
The reverse leg will be played in Tel-Aviv on Tuesday 27th September, kicking off at 18:15 UK time and rounds off Jim Crawford’s side’s international involvement in September.
