The central midfielder sat down to speak to the press ahead of our Sky Bet League One fixture with Charlton Athletic on Saturday.
ON THE SEASON SO FAR
"We've been quite solid. We've had a couple of poor results but we need to find that consistency and keep going really.
"I'm fully fit now, working hard in training and obviously getting some game time. Hopefully, that can continue and I can carry on helping the team.
"It's been a long time since I've played at Barnsley and at Oakwell so it's good to be back. We've got a new manager, we've got new players which I think you need to freshen up. It does feel like a new challenge, really."
ON TIMING OF INJURY
"It is frustrating, but it's one of those things in football. You've just got to get on with it and work hard to get back fit and I've done that.
"Hopefully, I can stay fit and carry on playing and training."
ON MIDFIELD COMPETITION IN THE SQUAD
"It's good. Playing with good players, you're going to challenge yourself and improve yourself. It'd been good, I've been enjoying it.
"We all bring different qualities and different things to the game. We work well together and work hard as a team. We push each other every day. It's good competition."
ON CHARLTON ATHLETIC
"Charlton have always been a tough team to play against. They've had a good history and they've got good players so it won't be easy. We're focused on ourselves and what we need to do to win the game and hopefully take three points come Saturday.
"We need to make sure we see games out and manage the game. If we are winning, we need to make sure we're solid and keep our structure so that we can win the game."
