GOAL A - LUKE THOMAS v CHELTENHAM TOWN
In our opening home game of the 22/23 season, the Reds were looking for a breakthrough in the second half against a resolute Cheltenham Town.

Up stepped Thomas, who when gifted with possession drove towards the goal and let fly from 20-yards to give us a richly deserved lead at Oakwell. We went on to see the 1-0 lead out and claim our first victory of the campaign.

GOAL B - JACK BUTTERFILL v BRISTOL CITY U21s
On his U21s debut, Jack Butterfill opened his account for the season with an wonderful instinctive finish from close range. After being picked out by Danny Benson, the young forward turned the ball home with a deft backheel flick to level the scores.

GOAL C - JOSH BENSON v BRISTOL ROVERS
The midfielder enters the shortlist with an excellent strike in our 3-0 win against Bristol Rovers at Oakwell under the lights.

Benson's half-volley rounded off a fantastic evening's work for Michael Duff's men as he crashed it into the bottom corner from 25-yards in front of a raucous Ponty End.

GOAL D - MADS ANDERSEN v LEEDS UNITED
The Great Dane scored a stooping header in our Carabao Cup second round tie at Elland Road to get us back in the contest against Leeds.

Josh Benson delivered a freekick right of centre, where our skipper waited at the back stick to dive and convert past Ilan Meslier.

GOAL E - THEO CHAPMAN v BRISTOL CITY U18s
Already leading 1-0, our U18s looked to kill off the game against a resolute Robins side. When Josiah Dyer's attempt was blocked by the goalkeeper, the ball fell kindly into the path of Theo Chapman, who confidently steered in from the edge of the box to seal all three points.

GOAL F - JACK AITCHISON v IPSWICH TOWN
Emulating his captain, Jack Aitchison chipped in with a diving header of his own at Portman Road.

The Scotsman latched onto the end of Luca Connell's inswinging delivery and arrowed his effort into the bottom corner to get the Reds back level, scoring his first goal for Barnsley in the process.
