Our midfielder has been voted as the ngdecor September Goal of the Month winner for his 40-yard wonder-strike in our 3-1 win against Charlton Athletic!

The 22-year-old now wins the award in consecutive months, after his strike against Bristol Rovers was voted as the Reds' best effort for August. Benson bettered his previous strike by arrowing a quality long-range strike into the top left-hand corner to open the scoring in our 3-1 win against Charlton Athletic on September 24.
The midfielder also played a big part in a month which saw Michael Duff's men go unbeaten, securing victories against Sheffield Wednesday, Cambridge and Charlton.
Benson expressed his gratitude for the fans who voted for him as winner two months in a row: "I thank the Reds fans for voting for me again. It's always decent to win these things but the important victories came for us as a team last month.
"Let's hope we get back on another good run starting this weekend at Bolton."
