After an unbeaten September, our Head Coach, Michael Duff is amongst the nominees for Manager of the Month!
The nominees for Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month for September are as follows:
Steve Cotterill (Shrewsbury Town)
September began with the Shrews in 20th position and the news that goalscorer Daniel Udoh will be out for several months. Cotterill made light of their predicament, inspiring his side to three wins from four games and a place in the top half.
Michael Duff (Barnsley)
Duff left behind his revered status at Cheltenham to test himself and his methods at Barnsley, bringing a new culture to Oakwell. So far, so good with a 2-0 derby win at Sheffield Wednesday underpinning a haul of 10 points from four games.
Ian Evatt (Bolton Wanderers)
Going along quietly hasn’t always been Evatt’s style at Bolton, but after a calm summer adding a few key players, his side stealthily moved into the play-off positions with a perfect three wins from three, conceding just a single goal.
Steven Schumacher (Plymouth Argyle)
Argyle collected 10 points from four difficult-looking games. What made the Pilgrims’ progress under Schumacher to the top of League One even more impressive was the manner of their comeback wins over Derby and Ipswich.
