The striker has been nominated after a sensational September saw him contribute three goals and an assist in four league games for the Reds.
The 27-year-old opened his account in September with an opening goal at Hillsborough in front of the travelling Reds fans in S6. Michael Duff's men went on to win the game 2-0 and record our first back-to-back wins at Hillsborough in 76 years.
It was Cole who found the breakthrough a couple of weeks later also in Cambridgeshire, after he swept home from inside the area at The Abbey to set the Reds on their way to a 3-1 victory, consigning the U's to their first home league defeat of the season.
Finishing the month at Oakwell, Cole recorded a goal and an assist against Charlton Athletic, ensuring an unbeaten run for the Reds in September. The first of his goal contributions against the Addicks came after brilliant work on the right allowed the 6' 1" forward to put a low cross into the box which was imaginatively converted by his strike partner, James Norwood.
Cole took the game out of the reach of the visitors with 15 to play. Fantastic persistence by Jordan Williams on the right-hand side allowed him to square for Cole who converted into the bottom corner and capped off a productive month for the Reds.
