Our skipper reflected on a tough afternoon for the Reds as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at the Mazuma Stadium against Morecambe on Saturday.

Kieran Phillips' 39th-minute goal was the difference between the sides in the first-ever league meeting between the pair.

The Dane was not happy with how he and his side performed on the Lancashire coast on Saturday afternoon.

"Not good enough - simple as that," he began. "We have to be more brave, show some more energy.

"Instead of playing their game, play our game that we prepared for. Very disappointed."

The Reds started the game brightly, with Josh Martin and Nicky Cadden both coming close for Michael Duff's men in the opening exchanges.

However, Andersen believed the Reds deviated too far away from what the Reds are all about and the work they put in building up to this one.

"The first 5-10 minutes we want to go out there and show we are there, show some energy, put some balls in behind - to put some pressure on them.

"They are very physical - I thought we were kind of soft - especially on set-pieces."

Up next for the Reds is Lincoln City at Oakwell in Sky Bet League one action under the lights on Tuesday night.

Andersen maintained the necessity to show what the Reds can do against the Imps and learn from this result.

"A reaction, that is going to be the main thing," said the 24-year-old. "Go out there, and be us.

"Stick together, show a lot of courage, a lot of energy - and hopefully get three points."
