TOM EDWARDS ON VISIT TO SHREWSBURY

10 November 2022

The defender spoke to the press ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet League One clash with Shrewsbury Town.

ON LONG THROW

"The lads we've got attacking the ball, we've got some aerial threat in there. I'm sure one of them will pay off soon.

"It was at Stoke - Rory Delap saw me in training doing it and he showed me a technique that he used to use, it's worked ever since then. It's a good asset to have during the game."

ON SQUAD MORALE

"You can even see it in training every single day, you can tell since I've been here that everyone is coming more together.

"There's a great spirit in the group. We just look forward to every game and we take every 45 minutes at a time. That's exactly what we're going to do in the next game coming up."

ON WORKING UNDER MICHAEL DUFF

"He's a great manager. He gets his point across very well to the team. He looks after every single player; whether it's the starting eleven to sitting on the bench or even in the stands.

"He has the respect of every single player exactly the same. It's very nice to have."

ON MOVE TO BARNSLEY

"It took me a while to get back over here. Even when I did come back over, it took me a while to get back in the team.

"I was very fortunate and very grateful to Barnsley for coming in on deadline day. Obviously, I had a few talks with them before that. I just knew it was the right Club for me. It was perfect timing, the right place for me to come.

"It's just perfect for me."
