Barnsley Football Club is saddened to learn of the passing of former Reds forward David Johnson.
An England international who enjoyed a stellar career throughout the 1970's and 1980's with the likes of Everton, Ipswich Town and - most notably - Liverpool, where he'd lift practically every domestic and European trophy.
Capped eight times by England, Johnson would enjoy a brief spell on-loan with the Reds under Norman Hunter back in 1984, famously scoring the winner against Leeds United at Elland Road.
