Striker David Bremang is aiming to show his credentials during the 22/23 campaign after signing a new deal with the Reds.

The 22-year-old has impressed within our U23s squad this term, finishing as our top goal scorer, which prompted a handful of senior involvements.

“I’m happy,” he stated. “Obviously, it’s been a tough season, but hopefully this season I can show what I’m about.”

With eight goals for Martin Devaney’s side in the Professional Development League, the former Coventry City forward was responsible for more than a third of the goals scored by our U23s.

He is confident in his own ability and, as supporters were unable to be at the Oakwell Training Ground to see him in action, he gave an insight into his traits.

“I’m a physical striker and like to run in behind; I’m good at heading and I’m just someone who likes to score goals,” continued Bremang.

“I would say I’m happy, but you can always do better, to be fair. Hopefully I can kick on next season and get more than I did this season.”

Bremang first featured amongst the substitutes during our Emirates FA Cup third round victory over Barrow AFC in January, before making his Sky Bet Championship debut at Nottingham Forest a fortnight later.

He then came from the bench on the final day of the season at West Bromwich Albion, replacing Clarke Oduor with 29 minutes remaining, and looked lively as he aimed to take his opportunity.

“I’ve been in that position a few times, so I wasn’t new to it,” insisted Bremang. “But it’s good to be in and around it, and it helps you to become better.

“It’s always nice to play and get some minutes, even though the result was disappointing. Hopefully this season I’ll be able to get some more minutes and show what I’m about.

“The team is young and, at this club, everyone can get a chance. I’ve just got to pick up and hopefully I’ll get my chance.”
