Energetic midfielder, Keegan Hartley, gave his thoughts ahead of our U18s' trip to the Valley on Saturday.
ON SEASON SO FAR
“It’s been brilliant. We’ve had patches where we’ve needed to up it, but it’s only been little patches. Once we’ve upped it, it’s been back to its best and it’s been really good to be in and around.”
ON STYLE OF FOOTBALL
“We play high-intensity and press. The press is vital – that’s what we work on a lot, just getting in their faces. We’ve played a few formations as well, so we’ve had to adapt to them, and we’ve done every formation well.”
ON MIRRORING FIRST TEAM
“It gets us ready. If we’re needed, we can step in because we know our roles and responsibilities within the team.”
ON CHARLTON GAME
“The aim is to go there and win; that’s what we want. There is pressure on us, but we want to go down there wanting no less than a win.”
ON FUTURE ASPIRATIONS
“Hopefully there’ll be opportunities, but I’ve got to do my bit; work hard, keep at it and keep pushing. I’ve got to get stronger – get in the gym – get bigger and, hopefully, we’ll see what happens.
“I’ve just got to keep doing my bit and work hard.”
