Prior to the launch of the ‘Through it all’ 22/23 season ticket campaign, Barnsley FC committed to supporting local grassroots football clubs.

Following COVID-19 restrictions, alongside the impacts of the current economic difficulties, it’s well documented that both junior and senior football clubs could face financial struggles in the near future.

Thanks to the support of 22/23 season ticket holders, some of the revenue generated from sales has been set aside to assist local sides prepare grounds, engage with local players and help fund necessary equipment and improvements.

With 6,000 sales during the early bird window, our donation currently stands at a total of £6,000.

1,000 sales = £1,000 donation
2,000 = £1,000
3,000 = £1,000
4,000 = £1,000
5,000 = £1,000
6,000 = £1,000
7,000 = £1,000
8,000 = £1,000
9,000 = £1,000
10,000 = £10,000 (if we reach this, we'll double the figure to £20,000)

In advance of pre-season, local clubs are now invited to request help and assistance.

Reds Chief Executive Officer, Khaled El-Ahmad said: "This is something that so many are passionate about at Oakwell. We are excited to 'giveback' and assist in ensuring Clubs - either at senior or junior level - are ready for the upcoming campaign. I'm aware that a number of partners and supporters have asked as to how they can also help and volunteer with this project which, again, goes to show just how strong this community is.

"Six thousand season ticket sales is a solid start, and on behalf of all at Barnsley Football Club, I would like to thank each fan who has signed up. The loyalty that you show every season is fantastic. I have spoken to many of you over the course of the last few months, and knowing that you'll be with us once again next season is inspiring."
