Barnsley Football Club can confirm that Cameron Thompson has joined Darlington FC on loan.
The young striker, who made his professional debut in the Carabao Cup first round at Bolton Wanderers back in August, will link up with Alun Armstrong’s side in the Vanarama National League North until the end of the season.
Thompson has featured amongst the substitutes eight times in all competitions this term and made his first Sky Bet Championship appearance against Birmingham City in January.
The 22-year-old will be hoping to be in contention for the Quakers’ clash with Blyth Spartans this weekend at Blackwell Meadows.
Everyone at Oakwell would like to wish Cameron the best of luck for his loan move.
