PICK UP YOUR BRISTOL CITY EDITION OF GROVE STREET

15 March 2022

We welcome Bristol City to Oakwell on Tuesday for our third consecutive home Sky Bet Championship encounter in a week.

As ever, there’s an issue of GROVE STREET available for you to enjoy reading and to add to your collection, and we have two feature-length interviews to whet your appetite.

First up is our cover star, CLARKE ODUOR – the hero from our great escape two seasons ago – and he talks about his football journey, starting where it all began at Leeds United as he came through the ranks with Aapo Halme and Liam Kitching.

Of course, we couldn’t speak to the 22-year-old without touching ever so slightly on that incredible moment at Griffin Park, which will ultimately go down as one of the most iconic goals in the club’s history.

There is also an in-depth piece with academy graduate AIDEN MARSH, who reflects on his rise through the age and his fears that he wouldn’t make it in the professional game after being released by the Reds and Sheffield United as a youngster.

Our young striker discusses breaking into the U23s as a 15-year-old, injury woes that kept him out for large spells of last season and making his first team debut against Bournemouth at the end of January.

Next to take on the series of wacky questions in our A-Z feature is CAULEY WOODROW, and the skipper reveals the best players he’s played with and against, his favourite dessert and go-to karaoke song.

With Non-League Day on the horizon, we take a look at selected fixtures for clubs in the local area as fans of teams in the top two divisions of English football are encouraged to support their grass roots teams.

Club legend, BARRY MURPHY pens his column, and he is full of praise for the Reds following our spirited display against Fulham at the weekend, stating his belief that we can survive this season.

In addition to all this, we have the traditional pages dedicated to the visitors from Ashton Gate, including a view from the opposition corner and LEIGH EDWARDS’ piece highlighting former Robins’ managers, while VIV ANDERSON is the focus of NEIL RICHARDSON’s latest feature.

All of this and more in your Bristol City edition of GROVE STREET.

Pick up your copy for just £3 from in and around Oakwell.
