REDS WIN AT WORKSOP TOWN

25 June 2022

Goals from Devante Cole, Aaron Leya Iseka and Callum Brittain saw the Reds run out 3-1 winners at Worksop Town in Michael Duff’s first game in charge on Saturday.

The Reds opened the scoring after eight minutes through Cole. A cut-back from Leya-Iseka found the striker on the edge who side-footed home with his left foot. Our lead was then doubled after 28 minutes as Leya Iseka poked home from close range after a Clarke Oduor free-kick wasn’t held by the Worksop 'keeper.

Shortly before the break, Callum Brittain rifled an effort into the top-left corner from 20 yards after being played inside by Luke Thomas.

Michael Duff fielded an almost entirely new XI for the second interval, with the young Reds testing themselves against experienced and physical opposition. The hosts converted a penalty midway through the second half. The score remained 3-1 until the final whistle in what was a good run out for the Reds.
