Reds in the Community and Barnsley Foodbank will be back collecting donations on Saturday afternoon.
With the cost of living growing ever higher, the number of families forced to rely on foodbanks is also rapidly increasing,
Following success in two previous collections, Barnsley FC are once again hosting a foodbank collection at Oakwell on Saturday afternoon, prior to our Sky Bet Championship clash against Middlesbrough.
Paul France, Reds in the Community Chief Executive Officer, will be manning the collection bins on Saturday and said: "Perhaps now more than ever, the local community must be united, stay together and look after one another. We’ve had a tremendous response to this campaign over the last few months and we sincerely hope that you are in a position to show your generosity and community once more this weekend.”
If you plan on donating this weekend, urgently needed items include, dilute/juice, rice, custard, long life milk, tinned meat, rice pudding, packet/instant potato, jam, tinned fish, toothpaste, toothbrushes, nappies size 6, 7, 8+ and shampoo.
