PICK UP YOUR MIDDLESBROUGH EDITION OF GROVE STREET

We welcome Middlesbrough to Oakwell this weekend in the Sky Bet Championship for the first of four home games out of the next five fixtures in the next few weeks.

That means there’s another edition of GROVE STREET for you to get your hands on and, as ever, it is filled with exclusive content.

Our cover star for the visit of Boro is DEVANTE COLE, who talks us through his football journey since coming through the Manchester City academy as a youngster and the road that led him back to Barnsley for a second time.

From competing in the UEFA Youth League to plying his trade north of the border with Motherwell and everything in between – including promotions and play-off assaults – it’s an intriguing story for our forward.

Moving down the age groups to the academy, and we caught up with ALEX JOOF to get an insight on what has been a magnificent campaign so far for our U18s side as they continue their assault on the Professional Development League.

The young defender has enjoyed plenty of game time this term and he also reveals that his pre-season running stats suggest he could be the fastest player at the club.

Up next to take on our series of wacky questions is new signing AMINE BASSI. The Moroccan midfielder tells us who are the best players he’s played with and against, and also what profession he would pursue if he wasn’t a footballer.

As usual, BARRY MURPHY pens his column, and he is full of praise for the Reds following our fine 2-0 victory at Hull City on Tuesday evening.

We take a look at how non-league clubs from the local area are faring this month, with coverage of Penistone Church, Athersley Rec, Hemsworth Miners Welfare, Frickley Athletic, Guiseley AFC and FC Halifax Town.

There are the traditional pages dedicated to Saturday’s visitors from Teesside, including a view from the opposition corner and LEIGH EDWARDS’ Managing to Succeed feature, while NEIL RICHARDSON’s unsung hero for this edition is former Barnsley defender STEPHEN FOSTER.

In addition to all of this, you might be able to spot yourself in our fans photo section, and Junior Reds can put their minds to the test in our quiz pages.

All of this and more in your Middlesbrough edition of GROVE STREET, which is available from in and around Oakwell for just £3.
