JORDAN WILLIAMS LOOKS AHEAD TO ACCRINGTON ENCOUNTER

21 December 2022

The defender spoke to the press to preview our Sky Bet League One Boxing Day clash with Accrington Stanley.

ON RECENT FORM

"It started at the start of the season. The new gaffer has come in and his ideas. I think it is a slow progress, I've said this before, now, we're reaping the rewards of it.

"We've just got to keep doing what we're doing and keep working hard every day. Taking it a game at a time."

ON MENTALITY OF SQUAD

"I think there's been a massive shift. At the start of the season we did the gaffer's day which is just about running really - about showing you that it's in all in your head really and your legs will go wherever your head wants to take you.

"That's a massive thing, really. We've always had the quality, but it's mental. We'll keep working hard and we'll keep trying to push on."

ON ACCRINGTON STANLEY

"Obviously, we'll go there with the same attitude and mentality that we've had in the last few weeks, try and win the first half and see where it takes us. It's going to be a hard game, Accrington Stanley away, it's never easy.

"They've had a few good results in the last few weeks so it's going to be a tough game."

ON CHRISTMAS

"I'll go and see my family in the morning in Huddersfield and then I'll head over to the girlfriend's family in the afternoon so I do my rounds at Christmas to be fair!

"We had a couple of days off the over day, the gaffer is really good with days off to be fair. He gives you them when you need them, but when we're in we work hard - we're full throttle when we're in.

"We're working hard over Christmas and trying to get the three points on Boxing Day."
